Armour Pack 3 by Cobweb-stock Armour Pack 3 by Cobweb-stock
Eleven poses this time, most of them with a lot more of the background left in. It's an experiment...

And yes, these packs are immense. Sorry for the massive file-size!

What operating system are you using? If you have an older version of Windows, you might need to download a free program such as WinZIP or WinRAR to open zipped files. If you are using Windows XP or Vista, or Mac OSX, you can open them using your regular file system. :)

...thankyou for your reply, tis greatly appreciated!:D

Umm...I have the latest WindowsXP, but when i click on to the file, it doesnt give me an 'open file' option, it just asks if id like to 'save to disc', which i did to see if this made a difference, but still got the same result! Most frustrating:frustrated:

I have my PC Doc over tomorro night, so I'll have him take a look...I may have a file or tool or woteva out of place and this is upsetting things, or I may need to DL the programmes you have suggested perhaps...?

Hopefully it will get sorted out, so as i can DL some of these fantastic packs and brushes I come across!!!

Thanx heaps for your help sweety, appreciated:hug:

Great armour! Just out of curiousity, is it SCA-approved for combat?

Actually, it probably would be with the addition of a kidney belt -- although I wouldn't suggest using it. It's designed to stop edged weapons, so there is no real padding to protect from blunt weapons. There's a set of legs to go with it, but I never really feel comfortable wearing leg armour... :worry:

The SCA makes quite a few concessions to safety that weren't found in historic armour, so it would take a little bit of tweaking. ;)

*blinks* Hold about - you're a SCAdian? And I didn't KNOW??

Or perhaps I did but I've forgotten....more than likely. They don't call me Everild the (clumsy confused, tiny and) Forgetful Eagle for nothing...Though it usually just gets condensed to Everild the Eagle. lol!

I used to be in the SCA, many, many years ago (about 15?). I never really got on well there, however -- mostly due to having a Norman-descended persona (in an all-Saxon kingdom, apparently ^^;), combined with being left-handed.

Being "sinister-handed" (yeah, more hate there too, I'm afraid), the best shield I could borrow at events was a targe. So, I used it like a targe -- and got endlessly chided for "not fighting right." And apparently using florentine swords was also "not fighting right." And moving my feet was also "not fighting right."

And doing anything other than fighting apparently made me gay, on top of being Norman and sinister-handed. So it kind of got really old, really fast... :D

Yeah, that sounds sorta familiar...

It's the politics that seem to have filtered in in the past few years that I can't stand. I joined about four years ago, but in the past couple of years I've given up the two officers posts I've held, mainly because of the politics of the kingdom that somehow seemed to drag me into it. I'm perfectly happy when I have a sword or bow in my hand (or anthing else pertaining to weaponry, or arts and sciences). The reason I joined the SCA and not the Wars of the Roses group that meets nearby was because the SCA seemed much more relaxed about what was and was not allowed. Then I met the few people in the SCA like the ones you described. Actually, from the stories other people have told me, I'm lucky to have met the few people who aren't like that! lol!
