I clipped this out in Photoshop for fun... I haven't posted the Photoshop file, but here's a preview in my scraps: [link]

If anyone wants the PS file, note me.

(I also clipped Tim's hair a bit! Bohemian!)

Hey, where's the codpiece?

;)

There isn't one with this suit -- hence the tabard/loincloth/thingie. There was a mail skirt, but it was stitched onto the suit's normal gambeson (one obviously not famed for its photogenic qualities, I might add... :giggle:)

I'm a little codpiece-shy, too. A friend of mine at the local Ren Faire had one that was historically accurate (modeled after one at the Victoria and Albert Museum), and it scarred me for life. At least it didn't have bells on...

The funniest codpiece in the world belonged to Henry the 8th, and is in the Tower of London. He was very proud of his (ahem) manhood.

A mail skirt... hmmm! I like that. It's lovely armor, and very good poses (as usual)!

 Indeed, Henry VIII was quite an unusual man. Although it's a shame there don't seem to be any picures of him when he was younger and in good shape (he was supposedly quite good-looking until he shattered his knee in a jousting accident).

Apparently, he also had a suit of armor with an articulated booty. Which is just weird. ;)

Now all you need is a barded horse and...

I'm pretty sure it's early Italian Gothic. The guy who made it was all up on the condetierre lurv. :D
But yep, I can see the similarities. Not nearly as foofy as the German or French armor.

Funny thing is, if I was a reeeeeeeally well-behaved soldier, I could possibly wrangle a horse. But no barding. ^^;

But I like German (however I can agree on you with the French).

This is cool, yet a bit weird with that building in the background. :D
You look like a knight (well, that's obvious enough :p) who somehow came into the modern world or what...and now he's a bit confused...

But I already see this going to be a very nice series of photos!

It's sad, but that's the most uncluttered place we had available to do the photos. :giggle: Consider it a... um, Photoshop challenge. Yes, that's it. :D

Aw, thanks! :) It was a lot of fun, although we had quite a few technical problems. All the more reason to go out and do it again, I suppose...

I don't think that any of us are going to complain if you go out and shoot more like this. Maybe you could include Sophie in one of her fabulous costumes and shoot some maiden in distress with her knight in shining armour shots? :D

We'll need to shanghai ~Madame-Lebeau or ~Thwan-Condu first, to work the camera. :giggle: But we're planning to do some tandem Clue stock soon...

Speaking of which, I'm supposed to do some fighting stock with ~Madame-Lebeau as soon as I can get the costuming and such worked out. :w00t:
