There isn't one with this suit -- hence the tabard/loincloth/thingie. There was a mail skirt, but it was stitched onto the suit's normal gambeson (one obviously not famed for its photogenic qualities, I might add... )
I'm a little codpiece-shy, too. A friend of mine at the local Ren Faire had one that was historically accurate (modeled after one at the Victoria and Albert Museum), and it scarred me for life. At least it didn't have bells on...
Indeed, Henry VIII was quite an unusual man. Although it's a shame there don't seem to be any picures of him when he was younger and in good shape (he was supposedly quite good-looking until he shattered his knee in a jousting accident).
Apparently, he also had a suit of armor with an articulated booty. Which is just weird.
This is cool, yet a bit weird with that building in the background.
You look like a knight (well, that's obvious enough ) who somehow came into the modern world or what...and now he's a bit confused...
But I already see this going to be a very nice series of photos!
I don't think that any of us are going to complain if you go out and shoot more like this. Maybe you could include Sophie in one of her fabulous costumes and shoot some maiden in distress with her knight in shining armour shots?
