I really love the composition of this piece, though I would love to know, out of all time / fashion periods, why Victorian? You have terrific features, very well suited to the period look, but I was just curious what inspired you to favor that particular time period.

Well, to be honest, I had the outfit on-hand. I am in a Victorian-themed Christmas caroling group (where, by some odd twist, I play Oscar Wilde. Go figure.) My spiffy Oscar Wilde outfit, alas, is no more; it died a horrible, grisly alteration for another destitute caroler, then disappeared. >_<

But I still had this one from 5 years ago, and I am lazy. I wasn't sure if the jacket would survive another season, so I wanted to get a couple of pictures of how it was put together. Most of the photos turned out badly, however.

So, um... why Victorian? It makes me look a lot skinnier than Cavalier-era clothing. ^^ If you have any particular 'period' looks you'd like to see, let me know; I've got quite a few costume pieces.

Actually, if you do have any Renaissance or Cavalier-style ones, I for one would love to see them! And I don't think you have anything to worry about in the "looking skinnier" department. There are far too many waifish pretty boys stalking about as it is - you look just fine!
