I received a note today from
KelusWulf, AKA Candace Paulson. She and her husband are in a really,
really tight spot, and could really use some of that DA magic we're so darn good at.
Basically, she and her husband lost everything in an apartment fire, just after their wedding. Although they've mostly gotten back on their feet, the massive cost of losing their home and all their property is staggering. There are more details
here. Please take a minute to go and read it.
Candace is willing to do original art, both black and white and color, as well as modelling and photography. And even if you don't happen to need any art, if you can spare an extra $20, $5... anything, it would be a wonderful thing. Please chip in if you can, and if you can't, keep a good thought for her and her husband. Thanks!
"Dirty Pool, for a Good Cause"I'm trying to get the musicians on
ACID Planet to help do a breast-cancer benefit CD. In order to get people to see the song, it needs to be far enough up on the charts to not get buried in obscurity. You can all help by going
here and listening to the song "Ashes". Just click the little triange next to the song title. And if you like it, please feel free to download it. Anyway, anyone can play the song once per day and have it count toward the song's total (although if you want to listen to it all day long, I'm certainly not going to complain ^.^). If you want to listen to any of the other songs, I'd be flattered, but "Ashes" is the one that really counts. That, and "Song for Val," which was written and sung by
lockstock.
EDIT:</i> The page for the song "Ashes" has been moved to here. Sorry for the confusion.
I finally cut a CD!
It's a collection of "industrial cinematic electronica" (Along the lines of the "Silent Hill" soundtrack), with a couple of Japanese-horror-inspired songs as well.
Give it a listen here if you like industrial, goth, darkwave, or just plain creepy stuff.
NOTE: If you click the link, but don't see a flash music player with 15 tracks, please let me know. If you don't have Internet Explorer and Flash, please go HERE.
I would also like to extend an ENORMOUS "Thank You!" to everyone who has helped lockstock and I in our quest for a car. I am, honestly, dazed and dumbfounded by your generosity and kindness. You guys are the absolute best people on the planet! My stock siblings:
